Air: A Modular Bench-Table | Milano, Italy

sponsored by Metalco

Università degli studi di Milano-Bicocca

Humans are social by nature, which is why “Social Design for Real Life” has always been our mission: we want to create and revitalize public spaces to create new connections and promote environmental sustainability.  The places we bring to life want to bring people together, encouraging outdoor living.

Among the many projects that Metalco has undertaken, there is one in particular that we want to see given the attention it deserves.

We are talking about the project, developed and realized for the University of Milan-Bicocca, of an Air Circle complex: modular tables with two integrated seats, made of steel and composed of a bearing structure in thick sheet metal and a tube top.

We wanted to give university students one more reason to stay outdoors, to spend their lunch breaks in total relaxation, or to study surrounded by the beauty of the university building.

In this dark and peculiar moment that is affecting each of us, we believe it is even more important to remember and share the founding values in which we believe and that we want to communicate through our products: Air Circle perfectly represents sociality and community, human interactions, outdoor life and new connections and is a perfect example of the values that the company cares about and that are transmitted in the most spontaneous and genuine way possible to the new generations today.
