Metalco’s Stile

sponsored by Metalco

Metalco is part of The Placemakers group. The Placemakers reunites different companies and brands, committed to studying emerging needs to anticipate future trends, manufacturing outdoors and indoors furniture to create spaces dedicated to the people, which stimulate sociability, interpersonal connection and well-being, both in urban and private contexts.

In order to offer the best service to our customers, we have vertically integrated all the production phases, so as to be able to guarantee quality and reliability. In this way we can make sure that all the production processes are carried out in a responsible and sustainable way, using energy from renewable sources and reducing waste to a minimum or, where possible, eliminating it altogether.

When we design our products, we focus on man and his quality of life. This means creating functional products for the cities, but above all creating the conditions to facilitate human relationships. All this without going to the detriment of design and style.

“We made a revolution in street furniture, armed with colour and new materials. This is how Metalco was born: we wanted to introduce a new way of understanding urban furniture and, as a result, the quality of life in our cities.” (Alfredo Tasca, Co-Founder and President)

Metalco’s STILE stands out for its attention to innovation and sustainability, but, moreover, for the attention paid to promoting sociability and to the creation of meeting places for people.

But how do we manage to do all this?

Each of our products comes from an idea of our designers, a stroke of a pen on a white sheet that slowly takes shape until it becomes the future bench on which you will sit in the company or a shelter from which you will take the bus to work. The possibilities are limited only by the imagination.

Often, however, the idea of a product comes from an external designer, and Metalco uses all its knowledge to transform a two-dimensional or three-dimensional drawing into a real, physical product that can be touched and used.

Metalco’s strength is to intercept and lead the trends of contemporary men and women.

Then we move on to the technical development of the idea. Our technicians analyze the idea, begin to transport it within diagrams to understand which materials to use, how to combine the different pieces that will make up the product and create the technical drawings that will be used by the production department to create the first prototype.

We believe in creativity, but we know that alone is not enough: to put it into practice you need technique, experience, know-how and production capacity.

Here, our specialized workers, metalworkers, carpenters, transporters, welders, and all the necessary figures come into play so that ideas can become reality, with the highest possible quality. Not only that, for everything to work, the various bodies that make up the Metalco system need to collaborate in order to provide an excellent service from the beginning to the end. From purchases to logistics, from sales to human resources, all are aligned on what is our corporate mission: (making street furniture) to furnish outdoor spaces that are sustainable for people and the environment.

As for our commitment to the environment, we let our actions speak for us.

We only use energy from 100% renewable sources, and we have installed more than 7,000 photovoltaic panels to reduce our carbon footprint, avoiding the emission of 850 tons of CO2 per year. Furthermore, thanks to investments in Research and Development, we have developed materials that are technically performing, but above all more eco-sustainable and long-lasting.

All our items are easily disassembled at the end of their life, from the very first items produced in the 1980s to the last ones, and spare parts are available for all products.

Innovation is our method, sustainability is our choice.
