Over 7 km of the waterfront will be equipped for sporting activities.

An ambitious project that will create the largest Wellness Park in the Mediterranean, an open-air gym so large, complete and inclusive that it will have nothing to envy to beaches like Miami or Santa Monica; places famous for sporting activities on the seafront and become an icon of this lifestyle.

“I like to call it a new, big, urban scenography.” Explains the Councilor for Public Works of the city of Rimini. The symbol of this scenography is the tree for callisthenics training by MyEquilibria, made in a sustainable way and unique in the world.

In addition to training and a healthier lifestyle, the project aims to become an opportunity for socializing. The Parco del Mare is made up of islands not far from each other. Each island is dedicated to certain exercises or activities. These include spaces dedicated to fitness with equipment that can be used by a wide range of people, more or less trained and of different ages. There are also islands of the “callisthenics” type, equipped with more performing tools for the fitter and more demanding sportsmen.

The philosophy of the “Parco del Mare” is based on “sea wellness” and on the overall improvement of public urban spaces. In line with this philosophy and with the objectives of the Wellness Park, two Metalco products were installed: Urban Mirror and the Football table from the new Game collection.

The Urban Mirror is the star of a fitness island dedicated to yoga and dance, thanks to its large surface it is in fact ideal for dance choreographies and frontal yoga classes so that you can correct your posture during exercises. The University Sports Center of Bologna (CUSB) also used the structure of the Urban Mirror, creating functional training courses to promote a healthier lifestyle among university students.

After hosting the 2022 Teqball Championship on its beaches, the city of Rimini has decided to install a Football table within the redevelopment project of the Parco del Mare. A sport that mixes football and table tennis it has seen its fame grow exponentially in recent years, thanks to influencers and great footballers who have posted on social videos while they were playing, making the phenomenon to explode. The Game Collection table has proved to be a great attraction for kids and football fans, who record their games and then publish them on various social networks.
